Accent Fonts
Accent fonts were a set of display fonts chosen to differentiate the various chapter title pages which were created in the form of accent pages having image treatment and a stylized text. The following are the fonts used:
OCR A Extended, Pilowlava, Macula, Puffin Arcade, Bitcount Mono & Mobile Infantry
Colour Palette
The following palette chosen for the book was developed after understanding the major colours used across different creations of Retro Futurism.
Graphics
All the imagery and graphics in this book have been made in the following manner:
Original images were sourced from the internet and then underwent the procedure of image treatment and editing via photoshop to add the various effects to associate the graphics with Retro Futurism.
They were manually color graded, textures and cropped to fit according to the layouts and content of the respective page or section of the book.
Different colour grades were chosen for the respective sections across the book.
Grids & Layouts
One of the aims for this creative publication was that as the user flips through they should get an essence of the style and language without having to read the content.
With this in mind, layouts were developed based on creating different compositions which were each style with retro futuristic elements and characteristics.
Hence a majority of the book does not follow a single standard layout of text and imagery but rather layouts based on the visual compositions. The following are a few layouts based on a grid structure of 12 by 12.
